Trade Show Event Showcased U.S. Technology & Services in Support of Chile’s Recovery and Rebuilding Program
Purpose: To create a business forum where Chilean government and private sector officials with a role in the country’s ongoing recovery and reconstruction efforts can meet face-to-face, view products, and share first-hand information with U.S. suppliers who have solutions to offer.

Format: REBUILD CHILE EXPO, was held in Santiago, Chile. It took place over a three day period. The trade show served as the centerpiece of the event. In addition to the exhibit displays, REBUILD CHILE EXPO included a series of concurrent presentations focused on ways U.S. manufacturers and service providers can assist in the immediate and longer term as Chile assesses its requirements and rebuilds its infrastructure.
Visitors: The primary visitors for REBUILD CHILE EXPO was the government officials at the federal, regional and municipal level who are charged with planning and implementing Chile’s recovery and rebuilding effort. These officials will included representatives from numerous individual agencies and departments including those concerned with construction, energy, transport, communications, education, sanitation, health, finance, public safety and law enforcement, among others. A further group of visitors was be drawn from the ranks of businesses and investment facilitators looking for products and services that will meet the needs of the private sector.
Exhibitors: REBUILD CHILE EXPO exhibitors were U.S. and Canadian companies – new-to-market as well as those already active in Chile - who have products and expertise to share. Exhibitors included U.S. and Canadian manufacturers of building products and construction equipment; telecommunications systems; energy generation and delivery products; sanitation, utilities repair and replacement; and other equipment and materials identified by Chile as priorities in the recovery program. In addition, U.S. and Canadian companies offering specialized knowledge-based services such as municipal planning, infrastructure needs assessment, financial modeling, and engineering and architectural services were invited to participate in REBUILD CHILE EXPO.
Media: REBUILD CHILE EXPO was be open to the media – both specialized and general interest. It served as a timely backdrop to focus attention on the rebuilding program and the products and services available to Chile to aid in its ongoing recovery.
Organizer: REBUILD CHILE EXPO was organized by Kallman Worldwide Inc. working in close cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Santiago, the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington, DC. and the relevant Chilean Ministries and agencies. Founded in 1963, Kallman Worldwide has a proven track record working on hundreds of successful business-to-business trade events throughout the world. Headquartered in New Jersey USA, with a full-time satellite office in Santiago, the company has worked in Chile since 1994, most notably on shows such as FIDAE, EXPOMIN and ExpoNaval.
Beneficiary: A portion of the proceeds was donated to Hogar de Cristo and the Fondo Esperanza in support of their programs.
